The SlideSign software package is a further extension to the already comprehensive Silvercases range of changeable lettering systems. The programme will operate with any personal computer equipped with Windows ’95 or ’98. Being Windows based, the software is very simple to install and use.
Slide-In Signs
Templates are provided into which the required text is typed. In this way, the names of guests, companies and organisations, and other details such as meal times, directions and messages, can be printed in a very professional manner and, when cut to size, simply slid into the Slidetex channel. The length of the printed strip can be adjusted to suit, up to a maximum of 280mm, the limit being the length of an A4 sheet.
Size and Style
The size of the printed characters can be adjusted to allow more or less text to be printed and to fill the available channels.
In addition the software also gives the facility to choose from a wide selection of different fonts. This allows the styles of the letters to be changed to a corporate format, the guests’ own text type or to suit the surroundings of the sign, traditional or modern.

Other functions typically found in Windows systems can also be utilised. These include cut, copy and paste, bold, italics and underlining and other editing functions. Once a sign has been designed, it can either be printed and/or saved for future use in the SlideSign folder.
Film Output
The printed strips can be output onto a variety of media including transparent film, which is available from Silvercases (see below). Once printed the film, or similar, is cut to size using a guillotine, scalpel or scissors, along the guidelines provided. The finished strips are then simply slid into the Slidetex channel to provide a very attractive sign system.
The type of transparent film to be used with the software will be dependent upon the make and model of printer which you are utilising. Printers principally divide into two types: Laser or Inkjet. For details of compatibility with your printer please contact us.
Floppy
or CD The SlideSign software is available either on CD-ROM or Floppy Diskettes. Full installation and operating instructions are provided. However, most of the functions will be familiar to Windows users.
